The aim is to provide an introduction to the principles of general chemistry that will give the student a command of its concepts and language. The semester course will cover within the time limitations topics organized around the four major themes: • Foundations of general chemistry including the physical state, atomic structure/theory • Fundamentals of molecular structure and bonding • Types of reactions • Thermodynamics.
