EDCR 514 Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice in Education 3.0 Credits

The goal of this course is to provide students with a foundational knowledge of the constructs of diversity, equity, and social justice as it relates to organizations and systems. Further, this course is designed to prepare students to be knowledgeable of individual’s biases toward race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, social and economic status, political ideology, age, and how these contribute to forms discrimination and oppression. In addition, this course will expose students to intersection of theories and strategies that can be used to influence positive change in affirming diversity, equity, and social justice in organizations and systems.
